Kimber's Next Generation 1911 in stainless is a full-size 9mm with a 5-inch barrel and an optic-ready slide. The grips are walnut with a G10 inlay and the trigger is Kimber's GT Performance unit. Two 9-round magazines and a Kimber carry bag come in the box. It is new, SKU NGZ6995.

For an Illinois shooter the Next Gen is a full-size 1911 for the range and the nightstand, with the slide already cut for a red dot so you are not sending it out for machining. Nine-round magazines keep the single-stack grip slim enough for smaller hands, and the walnut and G10 grips give the gun a traditional look with a modern touch. Stainless steel suits a pistol that will see humid Illinois summers and regular range sessions, and the GT Performance trigger is the feature most 1911 shooters will notice first.
