This Springfield Armory Loaded Operator, serial number NM754721, is a modern-production full-size 1911 in .45 ACP with a 5-inch barrel and an excellent bore. The steel frame carries an accessory rail, the action is single-action only, and it is fitted with three-dot night sights, an ambidextrous thumb safety, a two-tone finish and a Pachmayr rubber grip module. The finish shows light marks and the overall condition is near excellent.

For an Illinois shooter this is a range and home-defense 1911: the rail takes a light for the nightstand, the night sights work in a dark hallway, and the full-size steel frame settles .45 ACP recoil for follow-up shots. The ambidextrous safety serves left-handed shooters as well. Handguns are sold from age 21 at the dealer, and the FOID and 72-hour hold apply before you take it home.
