The Browning Maxus II Wicked Wing in Auric camouflage is a 12 gauge semi-automatic field shotgun chambered for 2 3/4, 3 and 3 1/2-inch shells. It wears a 28-inch vent rib barrel with an extended removable choke, a fiber-optic front sight, Burnt Bronze Cerakote on the metal and a textured composite stock and forend finished in Auric camo, with a 14.75-inch length of pull. A choke set is included, and the supplier lists it as new under SKU NGZ6534.

The 3 1/2-inch chamber and the camouflage finish are built for long, wet days in the field, and the same gun doubles as an Illinois deer gun: shotguns with slugs are legal through the first firearm season of November 20 to 22 and the second of December 3 to 6, 2026. Permits are issued by county quota through the IDNR lottery, so apply for your county and check for leftover permits after the draws. Cerakote metal and composite furniture need little care between trips.
