The Beretta 694 Sporting in this left-handed configuration is a new 12 gauge over/under with 30-inch vent rib barrels, 3-inch chambers and extended removable chokes. The receiver is stainless with blue accents, the barrels are blued, and the checkered wood stock and forend include a left-hand palm swell and a 14.75-inch length of pull.

A left-handed sporting gun is built for the left shoulder from the start, with the palm swell sitting under the left hand rather than a right-hand gun turned around. For an Illinois shooter it is a sporting clays gun: the 30-inch barrels keep the swing smooth on long crossers, the 3-inch chambers accept heavier target and field loads, and the removable chokes let you set each barrel for the station in front of you. The 14.75-inch length of pull suits a shooter with longer arms or a lighter summer shirt.
