This is a reproduction of the British Pattern 1853 socket bayonet, offered under SKU MEW3737 in the British bayonets category and sold as used. It is a replica, not an original issue piece, and the listing notes one shortcoming: the locking ring screw is missing. The scabbard that comes with it is in excellent condition. Beyond those points the supplier gives no further measurements, so expect the standard socket form of the P1853 as shown in the photos.

A replica socket bayonet of this pattern suits an Illinois reenactor or display builder who wants the P1853 look on a wall or beside a reproduction long gun without putting an antique at risk. The missing locking ring screw is a small hardware item, and the excellent scabbard makes the pair easy to present as a set. Since this is a used reproduction, treat the photos as the record of condition, and check that the socket matches the muzzle of whatever it is meant to fit.
