This Winchester Model 62 is a pump-action rimfire rifle made in 1940, serial number 96907, chambered for .22 Short, Long and Long Rifle. The bore is excellent and the overall condition is very good with some light wear.

A 1940 Model 62 in very good condition is both a shooter and a collector's rifle for an Illinois owner. The pump action runs all three .22 rimfire lengths, so it handles whatever Short, Long or Long Rifle ammunition is on the shelf, and the excellent bore is the part that matters for accuracy at the range. Light wear is noted and is in keeping with a rifle that has been used and cared for over the decades rather than left in a safe. Long guns transfer through an Illinois dealer with the FOID check and the 72-hour hold before you take it home.
